Great White Shark versus the Kraken! A recent paper regarding the interaction of White Sharks and Squid at Guadalupe Island has made me look over my picture of ...this Scar battered individual from 2016. The mouth area scars are that of Seal bites when they are being attacked (ouch). However, if you look closely in front of the second dorsal fin and above the pelvic fin, you can see an oblong scar made up of circular holes. Could it be from the suckers of a squid? Maybe! But it is hard to tell. Regardless, it is truly remarkable what these beautiful animals go through in their lifetime. Yesterday and today we introduced 3 great people to the amazing under water world of Canadian Waters !!! Water temp 18 degrees Celsius approximately 66 degrees Fahrenheit vis was well !!! Not the greatest but they muscled through! Today they are open water divers! Congratulations Riz, Sam and Leigla enjoy all it has to offer! Thanks Mary Smit for all the help
