We all have gifts from God.
Archbishop Dunn has recently announced that he wants each parish to do more Evangelizing within our boundaries. Beginning February 25th at 7 pm, the Adult Faith Formation team are inviting you to Life Shared. This 3-part video series focuses on Evangelization. In lieu of a formal retreat this Lent why not try this and see how easy it really is to share the Good News of Jesus with those we encounter. This will be an online event using Zoom. If you haven’t used Zoom, we can help get you online. Email us at [email protected]. Register for this event at https://us02web.zoom.us//tZIpdeCorT0iGtXJ2EtWq9YNUaOkZJ1_d View the trailer for the series here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrN9GkZn5nM&t=1s
Each Sunday at 11 am the parish livestreams Mass from our Saint Andrew site in Eastern Passage. You can join us in the celebration by going to our YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCujp_YRLGTD_4_GwMkbdVUg
Here are two opportunities to do more than give something up for Lent, try these to grow something this Lent. 1) This Lent, let’s focus on feeding your soul with BEST LENT EVERfree, daily video reflections with Matthew Kelly! https://www.dynamiccatholic.com/lent/best-lent-ever.html 2) Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI has said Lent is like a retreat during which we can turn back into ourselves and listen to the voice of God. ... He said, "It is a period of spiritual 'combat' which we must experience alongside Jesus... using the arms of faith: prayer, listening to the word of God and penance. In this way we will be able to celebrate Easter in truth, ready to renew the promises of our Baptism." Pray more Novenas has put together a retreat for more info, Click here: https://praymoreretreat.org/ See more
Each person must take responsibility for evangelization within your parish. When a parish isn't focused on evangelization, it will not bear fruit.
Please note - with the pending snow storm, the Divine Mercy Parish Office will be closed Monday, February 8, 2021. Stay safe all.
Join us this morning on our YouTube channel for the Marian Morning of Reflection from Saint Andrew Church in Eastern Passage. Now at : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r5TFn2Yik0
Due to the weather forecast for Tuesday, Feb. 2nd, the 9am Mass at St. Andrew Church has been cancelled and the Parish Office will be closed.
Hope this may be helpful to some.
Here is an interesting and challenging quote from Pope Francis.

Advent Backpack Project - the parishes of Divine Mercy, Dartmouth and Our Lady of Guadalupe are coordinating the Advent Backpack Project for our 17th year. Due to COVID-19 circumstances, we will not be able to gather as a group for sorting and packing. Our focus this year is the ensure the patrons of Margaret's House - Feeding Others of Dartmouth (FOOD) have a backpack for Christmas. We are asking families or groups of families to adopt and fill a backpack. We have the backpacks purchased and are available for pick up at Saint Clement Church on Wednesday, November 18 from 6-7 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Feel free to message me (Anne James) for more information. Thank you and please keep this project, the volunteers and the donors in your prayers.
