That is the number of restaurant exposures in Winnipeg since October 18th, 2020 0.02% That is the percentage of exposures in restaurants in the last two weeks. What is exposure? NOUN: the state of being exposed to contact with something. Exposure is not restaurants acting irresponsibly and spreading COVID-19 however that is the message being sent by the government every time they impose further restrictions or order us to close. $0 That is the dollar amount that we are currently being provided by the provincial government to help our businesses survive. Their "lucrative programs" are not helpful nor will they keep businesses afloat. 9.9% That is the current test positive rate in Winnipeg. I am not disputing the numbers and I do not want to get into a conversation with anyone regarding my personal beliefs on this matter however there is no denying that restaurants are being unfairly targeted. If this continues our sector will not survive. We are currently working together to help lobby government for financial aid as well as educate them on the procedures that restauranteurs in Winnipeg have taken upon themselves to add to ensure the safety of all staff and guests. Is it working? Not yet but the louder we are the harder it will be to ignore us. As the government likes to say "the numbers don't lie" and that couldn't be any more accurate in proving that restaurants are indeed safe. Just look at the data.
