My first COVID wedding, and with less than 24 hours notice. . 10pm on Friday night I get a text from my man Eric of @vancouverweddingstudios, asking if I'm free for a reception the next day at 5pm. I casually check my schedule and see things are clear for.. all of 2020.. so I say yes. . The next morning I get everything I need from the very well organized Nicole at @above.and.beyond.events, including music to coordinate with the live drummer @sahelkheshtkar, belly danc...er @lana.bellydance, and guitarist @larryedwardmusic. I'd be lying if I said this wasn't a daunting task, but we're all professionals here so we get it done! . I'll admit it was a little odd at first wearing a mask at a wedding and constantly wiping down the microphone (in a non-sexual way...), but thanks to our witty and hilarious MC, things felt pretty normal! . Would I do it again? Sure, if it goes as smoothly as this one did (you know, sans the 19 hour heads up). .
