In the office today and Sporting a Pink shirt for Anti Bulling Day! This movement started in 2007 with a boy being bullied for wearing a pink shirt and it comes every year. Why should you participate? It's simple, this keeps the conversation going! Talk to your family and ask questions. This also is for adults! Being a bully at any age is not acceptable. Quick History David Shepherd, Travis Price and their teenage friends organized a high-school protest to wear pink in sympat...hy with a Grade 9 boy who was being bullied [for wearing a pink shirt][They] took a stand against bullying when they protested against the harassment of a new Grade 9 student by distributing pink T-shirts to all the boys in their school. ‘I learned that two people can come up with an idea, run with it, and it can do wonders,’ says Mr. Price, 17, who organized the pink protest. ‘Finally, someone stood up for a weaker kid.’ So Mr. Shepherd and some other headed off to a discount store and bought 50 pink tank tops. They sent out message to schoolmates that night, and the next morning they hauled the shirts to school in a plastic bag. As they stood in the foyer handing out the shirts, the bullied boy walked in. His face spoke volumes. ‘It looked like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders,’ Mr. Price recalled. The bullies were never heard from again. Please meet Miss Paisley! She is in a busy household with 5 kids and today we worked on basics (Sit, down, stand) distraction training with kids having a puppy party, the joys of a great collar touch. This family was very keen on learning and even the 2 year old participated! Haha being a mother of 4 myself I always love to bring the kids into training. This creates an example of HOW to interact with a puppy and WHY I do what I do. Training is for all ages and well... species too!

On behalf of Della's K9 Connection, I would love to wish Everyone and Everypup a Merry Christmas for 2020! The Office will be closed until December 28. Twist on a classic Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house... Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there. My dogs, they were nestled all snug in my beds, While visions of chewy toys danced in their heads. When up on the roof there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter. Off to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutter then threw up the sash. The moon on the crest of the new fallen snow Gave a luster of midday to objects below. And what to my wondering eyes should appear But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer. With a little old driver so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. With a sputter of ashes and flurry of soot, He slid down the chimney with all of his loot. My precious dogs stood there, so regal and proud, Guarding their home with their barks oh so loud. St. Nick showed no fear, and he called them by name. He knew in his heart they were gentle and tame. He brought out his list, began checking it twice. My beauties, I see that all year you’ve been nice. I have in my bag many toys and much more. Please tell me, you puppies, what you’re longing for. My dogs talked to each other much to my surprise And then turned to Santa with tears in their eyes. We have chewies and balls and ropes to be tugged. We are pampered and coddled and petted and hugged. But for Christmas, dear Santa, we have but one care: That all dogs be loved just as much as we are. We want no dog beaten, no dog whipped or chained. We want no dog abused, abandoned, or maimed. We want that all dogs, no matter what size, See true love reflected in their masters’ eyes. St. Nick paused for a moment to gather his wits. I cannot stop humans from being such twits. All dogs are so beautiful and such a treasure. They just want to be loved and to give humans pleasure. This is a bright lesson I will try to teach. And maybe your wish will be within my reach. St. Nick then turned to me, his face wet with tears: Be proud of your babies. They all are such dears. He planted a kiss on each beautiful head: Now you gentle giants, go right off to bed. Think only good thoughts, and dream only good dreams Of running and jumping and playing in streams. In an instant, St. Nick disappeared in a poof, And I heard him laugh loudly up there on the roof. He jumped in his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And off he then flew like the down on a thistle. And I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight, Merry Christmas to All, and to Dogs a Good Life! Richard Lederer

Buying your new puppy or dog toys for Christmas? Here is some food for thought.

Meet Miss Quinn! Quinn uses spacial pressure ( pushing into people and then staying in that position while applying her body weight on you) to get what she calls love lol Today we worked on how to get her to settle without her using her pressure and her teeth. We also incorporated movement games and be a tree when it comes to children moving and playing in the house. Just because kids move fun and are impulsive doesn't give the puppy the right to act inappropriately. With this being said it is equally important to teach children how to act around dogs and puppies. Also worked on having tummy time with Quinn, she has to understand that even through we are on the ground it is not okay to want to come play unless invited to play. This girl did a lot of work and she did great!

We will be closed October 9 - 13 and will be back in the office Wednesday morning. Ruger, Kibo, Trip and myself are wishing everyone and everypup a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!

Everyone has worked so hard in class and on their own the changes are huge! ****Please take note of how your dogs ALL reacted night ONE of our training and how far they have come and remember training doesn't end here! ****... Loyal Canine Group: From not being allowed to be with in 50 feet due to negative reactions (jumping, yelping, barking, snapping, pulling,...) of each other today we accomplished some great meet and greets and being with in 10 to 15 feet from eachother! Great job everyone!
