Ok. Lets start with the basics. We will get to diet in another post. First of all, you need to be active every day. You need to do 3 to 5 days of resistance training every week. You need to get at least 20 minutes of cardio every day, and that can just be a good paced walk, and if possible, do it outside in the sunshine, so you are getting 20 minutes of sun (VitD) on your skin every day. Learn to read labels. Do what ever you can to avoid sugar. If you are needing a sweet fix..., find something that either uses Stevia or Erythritol. Thats it. Nothing else is good for you. You are going to hate this one, but if there is a time in your life to give up alcohol, this is it. Zero alcohol. And yes, you can have fun without it. Fasting is showing amazing health benefits. 16/8 is the most common, but if you can get to 18/6, that is perfect. That means you can eat from say 12 noon to 6 pm and that is it, or what ever six hour timeframe works for you. Make sure you are taking supplements with your meals. D3, VitC, Zinc, B12 and Omega 3's. And make sure you are drinking enough water every day. Ok, this is the baseline for everyone. We will get into the diet in the next post. See more

As more information comes out about covid, we have found that this virus attacks those over 70 with co-morbidity conditions, but what we are also finding out is that those who did get symptoms or died below that age had many things in common. Over weight, their bad diet, lack of essential vitamins, did not exercise, smoking, drinking alcohol, etc. Just on waist size alone, if you are a male and your waist is over 38 inches and a female over 35 inches, that alone will not only... increase your risk dramatically, but will also increase the chance that a vaccine will not do anything for you if that is the direction you wish to take. So whether you believe any of this, some of this, or none of this, if there is anything that might give you some motivation to change your lifestyle and diet, it cannot get any better than this. I am going to go over my transformation with you. Those who have been following me over the years, know that I have tried it all, studied it all, and what I have found is that, as per diet, every one is different, and you need to find what works for you. But as far as some basic rules, there are some, especially during these times, that you are going to need to follow to protect yourself and boost your immune system. I would like to thank the over 200 friends, old and new, who sent me not only Happy Birthday wishes, but some very nice personal comments, both in the public forum and in private messages. I am so glad that I have been able to touch you in a way that made you feel a bit better in yourself, or that you know you are not alone in this crazy time we are in. We are all under so much stress these days and even if we feel strongly about something, because of family, friends, jobs, ...etc., we may not feel like we can speak up or feel alone in our thoughts. I want to extend an invitation to anyone who feels the need to want to talk, just to talk to someone. No judgement, no taking sides, just to listen and have a conversation. You can contact me through messenger here on FB and if you live in the Peterborough area, I would be more than happy to give you my time and meet for a coffee and just talk and let you know you are not alone and you will always have someone you can talk too with complete confidentiality. These rules have made it so difficult for so many, myself included. So please dont forget this post and remember, no matter what, I will respond and take the time to listen. See more
