Vitamin D Mushrooms 11.03.2021

Hello everyone, We are a new-born business, based in Canada, Montreal, and we are the only Canadian supplier of 2 new products: -Vitamin D Mushrooms (dried) -Vitamin D Supplements (100% Vitamin D Mushroom powder)... We call them Vitamin D mushrooms, because they are very different, in terms of the Vitamin D content, from the mushrooms that you find in stores. The mushrooms that you normally buy contain negligible amounts of Vitamin D. One would need to eat more than 8 kilograms of fresh mushrooms just to reach the recommended dose for the day, which is 600 IU (International Units) Our mushrooms contain 400 IU PER GRAM! (dried) Technically, we are the only Canadian supplier of a plant-based, whole food that is high enough in Vitamin D for daily supplementation! Our mushrooms are not fortified products. The Vitamin D content is the result of a natural phenomenon that results from the mushrooms being exposed to a UVB* lamp. (*Ultraviolet B) This is very similar to how us, humans, make Vitamin D when our skin is exposed to the Sun's UVB rays. During the UVB exposure, the fungi produce in themselves vitamin D, in amounts sufficient Why do we need Vitamin D? Vitamin D is a hormone that plays a vital role in calcium synthesis, and in bone health. In addition, scientific studies have shown strong correlations between the level of vitamin D, and the proper functioning of the metabolism and the immune system. During winter, the only way of getting Vitamin D is through diet and supplements, since we cannot create Vitamin D by exposing our skin to the Sun. At latitudes above 35 degrees, UVB does not reach the surface of the Earth, so there is no way to produce Vitamin D from sun exposure. The reason for that is the tilting of the Earth, that changes the angle at which the Sun penetrates the ozone layer. As a consequence, between October and April, UVB radiation is absorbed by the ozone layer, in most of the northern hemisphere. If you are interested and want to find out more about our products, or about Vitamin D in general, please visit our Facebook page, as well as our website. On our website, there is more information, and links to scientific studies. Everything that we claim is backed by science. Our products have been tested by a scientific laboratory, and the Vitamin D content is within an error range of less than 5%. www.dmushrooms.ca
