This study by (Crawford et al., 2010) followed the behavior of Lemurs that were given the common contraceptive "medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA)" and interestingly the olfactory cues that signal fertility, individuality, genetic quality, and relatedness were altered. While these experiments did not include any humans, we wonder about the possibility that MPA to lead to mismatched relationships in our society.
