Did you receive taxable benefits under the CF Integrated Relocation Program in 2020? As BGRS is not considered your deemed employer, taxes are not able to be ...removed at source by BGRS. Therefore the following processes are being used to correctly reimburse and report taxable benefits. Taxable Cash Benefits Reimbursement of REI and HEA are now processed through your pay system (CCPS or RPSR). The deductions (taxes) will be held at source with the after-tax portion included on members pay. Please note that the amount of taxes owed will be calculated by the pay system. Your pay office can provide you with details. Taxable Non-Cash Benefits A non-cash taxable benefit includes a payment made to a third party for a particular good or service that you were entitled to under the Canadian Forces Integrated Relocation Program in 2020. Any cash or non-cash taxable benefit received will be reported on your T4/RL1. Depending on individual circumstances, this may result in taxes owing when you do your 2020 tax return. The complete list of non-cash taxable benefits reimbursable by BGRS can be found on our website: CANADA.CA/MILITARY-RELOCATION

Today, on the International Day of Peace, we recognize the important work women play in creating a more peaceful world. Armed conflict affects women, men, girls..., and boys in different ways. Displaced women and refugees are especially vulnerable to sexual violence in areas experiencing conflict. Sustainable peace is only possible when women can fully participate in the peacebuilding process. Through Canada’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security, we are committed to ensuring gender perspectives are integrated in all peace and security efforts. #IntlDayOfPeace
