What an amazing day! Today we travelled 15 miles from Brier Island Island to investigate reports that we received from fishermen that there were whales at an a...rea called the Prong. This is an area that we discovered in 2000 where humpbacks can be found and will traverse the Bay to Brier Island on a regular basis. It was thick fog but we had no trouble locating the whales as we stopped and listened for their blows, giving away their location. We only spent an hour recording data and documenting whales but in his time we logged 21 different humpback whales including 2 mother and calf pairs. We were estatic! During the 2019 season, we did not see any calves. Humpbacks identified today were: LAscaux, Quarternote, Solas, Quixote and calf, Bungee and calf, Jigger, Squiggle, Mr Burns, Scream, Patchwork, Highlighter, Orion, Mocha, Littlespot, Rooftop, Handstand, Churn. We are still sorting the photos and have yet to match some photos. All in all, a great day! See more

OFFICIALLY we would like to announce that we are sailing for what will be our 26th consecutive year!!! The world is turning and we are hanging on! ... The Chad & Sisters Two will start sailing on July 1st. Things are going to be done much differently than previous seasons, but we all must do our part to keep each other safe while we navigate these new waters and times dealing with a world wide pandemic. We will be working very hard to make your whale watching tour as enjoyable and safe as possible. The health and safety of our guests and our crew is of most importance moving forward with our new normal. Please be ensured that all surfaces will be frequently sanitized and cleaned both on land and at sea. Sanitizer will also be available and must be used at both locations. We ask that if you don't feel well or know you are sick, please stay home because all passengers will be screened. We will also be following social distancing at our office during check in (one person inside office to a time) and on our vessel, Chad & Sisters Two. But, because of the nature and platform our tours are based out of we will require all of our guests to wear a face covering or a mask during check in and while on-board as per Transport Canada and Nova Scotia Public Health and Safety regulations and guidelines. Lets keep this Covid-19 curve flat! We love having fellow Nova Scotians onboard and we hope many more of you will take this opportunity to explore our own backyards this summer! We will continue to offer our great Whale Watch & Accommodation packages at the Bay of Fundy Inn & Guesthouse. Come stay and play with us at Mariner Cruises on Brier Island this summer! PLEASE SHARE! We look forward to meeting and having you as our Guests this summer!
