COSMETIC EYELID SURGERY Fantastic early result for my patient, now looking refreshed and well rested! Had lots of hooding over the eyelid margins, corrected with a cosmetic upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Only 4 weeks after surgery, he still has some swelling but the early results are looking great! REVISON BLEPHAROPLASTY Not all eyelid surgery is purely cosmetic in nature! In severe cases, such as this gentlemen, he was in obvious need of a revisional operation to help him see. His first surgery was done many years ago elsewhere, but with time and additional skin changes, the excess skin started to re-droop causing him impairment in his vision. Revisional eyelid surgery is generally more complex, as there is a significant amount of scar tissue present, which can make th...e tissue planes more difficult to dissect. In his case, he wanted to look his natural age and did not want to look feminized by over resection of skin. As per our pre-operative discussion/plan, we were conservative with his skin and fat resection, and the early result at 4 weeks is a natural appearance which allows him to see properly, without the heavy eyelid feeling! He still has a fair amount of swelling that will continue to improve with time. Photos shared with written and verbal permission. GYNECOMASTIA CORRECTION Gynecomastia, also somewhat crudely called man boobs, is a very common condition that is often stubborn to resolve without surgical intervention. BREAST AUGMENTATION I LOVE the early results of this revisional breast augmentation!! This lovely patient had breast augmentation well over 10 years ago with a different surgeon, and developed late capsular contracture with implant malposition. The fill volume of her old saline implants was unknown, which required careful consideration preoperatively. She desired less cleavage, less upper pole fullness, slightly less size, and a more natural look, all without any additional s...cars to potentially tighten up the skin. Using her infra-areolar incision, I switched out her old saline implants with newer generation silicone implants, removed her old capsule, revised her implant pocked to fill out the bottom of the breast and prevent lateralization of the implants. Nipple position is now centralized in the middle of the implant. BREAST IMPLANT REMOVAL: For a variety of reasons, some women eventually decide to get their breast implants removed. There are different techniques for implant removal and oftentimes I will recommend a staged or immediate breast lift, if I feel it will help prevent a deflated appearance afterwards. In this particular case, I removed her breast implants (placed by a different surgeon) with a complete capsulectomy and an immediate breast lift. She had a pre-existing waterfall ...deformity and without a lift would have looked quite deflated. She is doing fantastic, and I am very happy for her!
