Dear Patients, As our Province advances through phases of reopening, Arbour Family Medical Centre is happy to be expanding our in person visits. As safety is still our first priority, we will continue to offer telephone or virtual visits as the FIRST option. We will only offer in-person visits if physical examination will change your management, you require a hands-on procedure/ intervention, or if an in-person visit is in your best interest. What does this mean?... - Any visit that can be accomplished by virtual means, will be booked as such. - Your visit to the office will be for the purpose of the physical exam only. If other issues arise that do not require a physical exam, this will be discussed virtually. - If you are due for an appointment (Pap smear, Driver’s Physical, Immunizations, etc) please call our office to book. What can you expect at your visit? - Our providers will be alternating work schedules to provide access to care while allowing for social distancing. - Before your appointment and upon arrival, you will be asked specific COVID-19 screening questions. Please answer honestly. If you answer yes to a screening question, you will often still be seen, but in a different way. - We have rearranged our waiting room and workspaces to help with social distancing. You may be asked to wait in your car if the waiting room capacity is exceeded. - Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment, to avoid crowding. - Patients and staff will be required to wear masks (cloth or surgical) while in the office unless asked to take them off by staff during appointment. - We ask that you attend your appointment alone. However, if you have a caregiver who needs to attend the visit with you, he or she will also need to be screened and wear a mask. - If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you stay home. We will not be charging cancellation fees in this case. - DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC WITH COVID-19 SYMPTOMS UNLESS YOU CALL FIRST - we will arrange to see you if appropriate, following a proper protocol. - We will communicate any changes as we move through this process. The most effective way to do this is via email, please ensure we have your up to date email address on file. As we adjust our schedules and office flow to support best practices, we ask for your patience and understanding. Sincerely, Arbour Family Medical Centre Staff

Dear Patients Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a surge in calls to our after hours service. Unfortunately, this has resulted in long wait times. In light of this, to improve your access, we are implementing a new way to deliver your after hours care. As previously, clinics will be held EVENINGS:... Monday to Thursday 5pm-8:30pm WEEKENDS: Friday 5pm-8:30pm (OR Saturday 10am-1:30pm) and Sunday 10am - 1:30pm HOLIDAYS: Varies, call for details You can now access the clinic directly by calling: 1-888-308-5228 On calling this number, you will be triaged and an appointment booked if appropriate. If you call this number outside of clinic hours, you will be directed to the Telephone Health Advisory Service for Nurse assistance. This service is meant to address urgent issues and is not a replacement for routine appointments with your regular physician. As a rule, no narcotics will be prescribed and COVID-19 testing is not available at this time. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this change.

Dear Patients Due to the current and impending COVID-19 pandemic, we will be making changes in the way we deliver your care. Our goal is to minimize potential exposure to as many people as possible, while freeing up resources to attend to those who require urgent care. Starting immediately - we will no longer be booking routine appointments (including routine physicals, pap smears, wart treatments and ear syringes). If you have an appointment scheduled currently, you will be ...contacted to cancel or amend this appointment. Additionally, we will be reviewing our schedules and incoming appointments - those that can be accomplished safely by telephone or a virtual visit (information to follow) will be booked as such. Those visits that are of a more urgent nature and require an in-person visit, will still be offered this option. In order to help reduce the spread of the virus - we ask for your help. If you have respiratory symptoms (cough, cold, fever, runny nose, sore throat), have travelled outside of the country, or have had contact with someone with respiratory symptoms and travel, we ask that you STAY HOME call our office, or Public health at 1-800-265-7293 x 7006 for further direction. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND OUR OFFICE WITHOUT INSTRUCTION IN THIS CASE. As a community, our responsibility at this time, is to minimize the virus spread and the impending impact on our healthcare system. If you are able to delay your elective appointments, we urge you to do so. We also ask that you do not attend the EMERGENCY ROOM unless it is a clear EMERGENCY. There are other modes of testing if you are concerned you have contracted the virus. In regards to your greater social obligations - we urge you to wash your hands and just stay home. Please reconsider attend large public venues, events and travelling. The more successful we are at social distancing, the best chance we have at minimizing the impact of this virus. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this. These changes will be regularly assessed and are in place until further notice.
