On the day we get a wind warning, we decide it's a great time to plan our BIG project! (You'll have to wait for it cuz it's going to be interesting) But while waiting here are 2 bred heifers that the kids play around with from time to time.

And on a Wednesday.... This is our water solar pump station (from the back side) All that pool there, isnt supposed to be there... Not trying to be a pessimist, but first thing i thought was something is busted. However the water trough was full and the holding tank is super full (had to drop the float). Somedays you just luck out! Turned out to be some loose hose clamps and that it rained a bit yesterday.

Anyone else just on the cuff of being done harvest?! Been some great crops this way.

So... I'm not real tech savy, but this is just a pic from my phone until i get pics from our camera uploaded to my PC, but... Day 2 cattle photos- started out real strong for the Doenz Ranches Team! Cracked out 16 pair photos of dam and calf from 9am and 2:30 pm. And we are still on speaking terms... or were.... UNTIL.... the steer calves and their ever loving mothers, got through not one, but 2 fences to get to the grain bags! I must say that is some dedication 3C and 155D!... Picture taking day 1.... But before this went down, the water was spraying all inside our calving barn office. So upon going to get moving sticks, the freaking cords in plug ins were snapping. Boss man Brad took a few good shocks for the team before the power got shut off. He's fine though, and the leak got fixed, but I'm not sure how the calving camera equipment faired. Ahhh all in a day-right?! Tomorrow Day 2! Stay tuned...

Last night after catching up on bailing, the crew wasn't back with parts yet. It was so dang hot out! I know that once we start rolling with harvest, things might get a little out of hand(house and kids included). So maybe best to set some eyes on the beasts to make sure they are all alive. So...Maybe not the greatest photo, and I'm sure he'll look better in the catalog, but this is one bull calf we are pretty proud of. He's a Musgrave Exclusive progeny. His dam is the one who is just looking at you on the left. Good job mama!

Welp... 3 rounds combined on the peas, and already the auger on the header broke. Crew went up to Three Hills to get the part. Meanwhile, we are 1 bale and 2 cheese strings in on the straw. #harvest #ranchingwithkids
