Leashed dogs at off leash parks = a bad idea. Some dog owners are told to take their scared or aggressive dog to an off leash park and leave their dog on lead. The theory is - your dog will learn to get along with other dogs. This is terrible advice, it’s called flooding and will intensify your dog’s behavioural problems. It will likely also create distrust between you and your dog. Off leash parks are not a good idea for dogs with problems.

Do you send your dog to an off leash park with a dog walker? If so, it’s very important it be with only 2 or 3 other dogs, maximum. Many dog walkers take as many as 16 dogs at once! They can’t watch that many dogs and they allow way too much over excitement which generally ends up with bullying or fighting.
