As with many businesses we have had to adapt and implement various safeguards to protect ourselves, our clients and our community. DVH has undergone many recent improvements and there is always more happening behind the scenes! One of our latest upgrades is to our client communication services. DVH will now be conducting our reminding and confirmation of appointments, surgeries, overdue vaccines and more via phone in addition, to text and email. We are providing routine services again; spays, neuters, vaccines, nail trims, anal gland expression and more. We allow 1 client per pet in for the exam as long as they are wearing a mask and sanitize their hands when entering the building. We still prefer contact less pick up for food, medications and flea control whenever possible, and CALL AHEAD to arrange pickup and pay! 250-286-0757 Our door is still locked. Dogwood Veterinary Hospital in Campbell River, B.C. is looking for a part-time, or full time RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) to join our growing practice. This position will require a minimum of 3 days a week, including some Saturdays, with the potential for full-time hours. It does also involve sharing light call with the other technicians in the practice. We offer a competitive wage and benefits. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years' experience an ...an RVT, a strong work ethic, and passion for the profession. Excellent team-work skills, independence and strong time-management skills are a must. The responsibilities of our Registered Veterinary Technicians involve (but are not restricted to) the following; patient care, client education, liaison between our clients and their veterinarian, handling of lab samples and performing basic lab tests, maintaining patient records, follow up phone calls, email communication, and assisting with general cleaning and upkeep of the facility At this time we are only looking for an RVT.
