Dolcifiori Restyled Vintage Jewellery

Another quiet Sunday in my craft room....it is my happy place! These cold porcelain medallions are moulded from a vintage Czech glass button. I wanted to experiment with an antique white background highlighted in gold, and then with a black background as well, both with colourful centres. They look like stylized flowers and really stand out when worn on a solid coloured top.

And one more......

It has been snowing steadily all day....even without the lockdown it was not a day to go out! So, the table in my craft room is right below a huge window and I spent a few hours happily making colourful jewellery with my handcrafted pendants, while the snow swirled in front of me outside . I especially like the shorter of the two necklaces, although the long one would look great too on a light coloured summer dress . The glass beads are from Czech vintage chokers from the 1950s repurposed for a new lease on life.

J.S.Bach is my favourite composer....I was listening to his music while making this necklace. Not surprisingly it turned out a little Baroque in style! The pendants are hand sculpted and painted in acrylics, with micro beads under resin. The gold beads are repurposed from a vintage glass necklace.

Freshwater pearls are lovely when white, but come in many beautiful shades. My cold porcelain hand painted medallions in a silver background shade and pastel colours match the pearlescent pastel hues of the pearls for an unusual combination. Stronger colours with gold accents make a bolder statement with white freshwater pearls.
