Premier Jason Kenney throwing FIRE this afternoon at the flagrant disregard some people have towards public health measures. Thumbing their nose at ...the law and putting their own interests ahead of others and in particular the healthcare system.... We are at 594 hospitalizations and need to stay under 600 to move to step 1 of lifting some restrictions Feb 8. He went on to say we have to ALL be in this together if this is going to work and mentioned stronger enforcement actions if people continued to act in a reckless manner....great to see these benchmarks in steps 1-4.....more details next week on specifics but masking and distancing will still be in place as well as capacity limits. Step 2 benchmark is hospitalizations less than 450. See more

The Coffee Cottage is honoured to be hosting the "Real Talk with Men" gallery exhibition. Spread over the cafe's two floors with 30 canvases showcasing the pho...tographs of local men who are starting conversations about Men's Mental Health. The collection will be up until December 12th; please feel free to come to browse the photographs and pick up your free copy of the project's 2021 calendar. ******** About the Project ******* The Spark for this Project came during a meeting with various local non-profits In Innisfail and is in response to a mental health crisis in our community. Rates of suicide, addiction, & domestic abuse in Innisfail are Commonly higher than the provincial averages and are still rising. Because we have such strong partnerships between the town, and our various agencies we could easily see, that although our women often seek out available supports, our men do not. The purpose of this project is to start and normalize conversations with men about mental health, it features local Innisfail men who are brave enough to step forward and speak out. These Photographs celebrate the emotions that aren't often associated with mental health challenges but are key to overcoming them. We encourage you to think about and discuss what feelings these images evoke for you. Perhaps it is dignity, comradery, peace or determination, there are not right or wrong answers, just a safe place to open up conversations. Rebecca - Wolf Creek Primary Care Network

RAVE!! If you ever need to shop for appliances, go to Innisfail Furniture and Appliance. I’m telling you- it SAVES MONEY to support local business! ... Tammy answered questions. She looked up parts for my old dryer incase I could get it fixed to save some money. (It’s too old for parts, so, in the long run, it was cheaper to by a new dryer). She spent TIME with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. PLUS- the model of washer and dryer I bought was on a sale! The washer and dryer set was cheaper than in the city, and Tammy also asked me if I had seen it on sale anywhere, so she could give me the best price. (It wasn’t. She had the best price already). Delivery Install Cheaper disposal of old units Tested to make sure the installation was functional. Free lessons in how to use appliances (at the store, AND after it was installed) Plus the sweet man that installed the set, helped me clean up the gross stuff off the floor when he took away my old washing machine. He had gloves and a mask on, and wiped things down after he was done. You won’t get ANY of those services in big box stores in the city. Best money spent? LOCAL! Pls, it keeps money, here, in our immediate economy. All good stuff! Thank you Innisfail Furniture and Appliance! I’m a customer for life!
