On October 30, 2019 the last copy of Cockpit An Illustrated History of World War II Aircraft Interiors was sold. First published back in 1998 it had three printings and according to Firefly Books, "we sold every copy at full value." It was translated into German and Japanese. This was my first and most successful book. A 22 year run. Go figure. I want to thank Dan Patterson Studio for his award winning photography. No one does cockpits like he does. A big thank-you to everyone at Boston Mills Press for accepting my proposal from an unproven writer and to everyone at Firefly for keeping the book alive for so long. And, oh, ya to everyone who bought a copy. No home library should be without one.
