1 year ago today, we officially opened the Donald Gates Memorial Dog Park! Hope everyone has been enjoying it so far

Jax had his first visit of the season this morning!

Jax is itching for another visit to Twillingate to play in his Pop's memorial dog park with his Twillingate doggy pals. Until then, he's exploring the dog park at Voisey's Brook Park in Portugal Cove. Sadly, all the dogs must have been home spoiling their dog-moms today because Jax was on his own! Happy Mother's Day to all the dog moms! Hopefully Jax will see you all soon at the DGMDP!

This pulled at my heartstrings! Sending comforting thoughts to our Fort McMurray friends as well as their 4-legged companions! xo

Thank-You! Thank-You! Thank-You! To all of you who contributed to the DGMDP fund! And a VERY SPECIAL Thank-You to the Twillingate Lions Club who graciously donated the remaining balance - $2,587.33! The total cost of your dog park was $16,026.75 and is now OFFICIALLY PAID OFF!! I cannot wait to see photos and check-ins of everyone using the dog park again now that Spring is on the horizon! An extra special thank-you to Ken Facey of the Hospital Pond Walking Trail & Community Garden for coordinating the on-site construction of the dog park . as well as answering all my phone calls and emails over the past couple of years!!
