I am honored to recieve a glowing review of Lily Fairchild in the prestigious Kirkus Reviews.
My newest released, self-published work, Lily Fairchild, is now available in paperback and Kindle edition. https://bit.ly/LilyFairchild
My work at Faculty of Education - Western University was extremely satisfying. I never got tired of seeing my student teachers be successful at inspiring young pupils. I love being Western University emeritus because I am able to use the time free of teaching to continue to write poems. (And read, of course!) #CanadaDay #CanadaDay2020

Lily Fairchild started out as a pair of novels I wrote over three years (1985-87), St. Vitus Dance and Shaman’s Ground. I was unable to find a publisher (I didn’t get an agent until 2003) so published the books myself. After my agent, Beverley Slopen, was successful in getting my Marc Edwards mystery series published by Simon & Schuster, she asked me if I had any other fiction pending. I told her about the two earlier novels, which I now began thinking of as a single novel ca...lled Lily’s Story. Because of its length Beverley was unable to find a mainstream publisher, despite excellent reader reviews, and she offered to publish it in 2014 under her own imprint, Bev Editions. In 2016 Beverley suggested that if I cut the novel she would try again to find a publisher. I cut 60,000 words and renamed the abridged version Lily Fairchild. Again we failed to find a mainstream publisher, so I self-published it with Tablo Publishing. You can find the book on Amazon via https://bit.ly/LilyFairchild.
