End of year sparkly light. Happy New Year!
Today’s service call was for no power to any of the outlets in the bedroom. Why? Failed connection in a hidden junction box. Found and repaired. The power is back on. Moral of the story: make good connections and never hide them.
The house on Toll Rd is finished, the customer is happy, and the permit is closed.
Today’s service call: no power in two adjacent motel rooms. Long story short, I found a very important junction box hidden behind the mirror in one of the bathrooms. Problem solved and the lights are back on. Lesson of the day: things happen, so don’t hide junction boxes.
What is hidden inside the ceilings and walls?
A tree fell on the power lines and pulled the service off the house. Now there’s a new service in its place.
A cautionary tale: if you have aluminium wiring you need to be extra vigilant about all connections and devices. Always use approved material suitable for aluminium conductors and ensure they’re installed properly.

Repaired the lights up in the church bell tower. LED lamps should last for a long time.
Perhaps, there should be a built-in return strategy when these items are purchased, such as a deposit. Imagine hockey teams fundraising by going door to door collecting CFL's.
New underground service going in. Step 1 - Install the duct.
Not sparkly, but definitely cool. Donleigh customers make great fixture choices. :)
More sparkly lights :)
More kitchen island light fixtures. I don't pick them, I just install them. Pretty cool though.
Very cool island light fixture. When I went to install it I discovered there was no junction box, so it took a little extra effort.
