The idea comes from two incredible Nova Scotia high school students in 2007. When a fellow student was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt, they decided to take a stand. They went out and bought pink shirts to give to fellow students to show their support for a boy who was being bullied simply for wearing a pink shirt.... Some examples of bullying are: Verbal (name-calling) Physical (punching, pushing) Social (leaving someone out of a game or group on purpose) Extortion (stealing someone's money or toys) Cyberbullying (using computers, the Internet, mobile phones, etc. to bully others) Kids Help Line: 1-800-668-6868/Text: 686868

Earlier this week, our members were privileged to have Peter Cookson join us for a webinar for some useful training tips. The importance of a warmup as well as knowing your heart rate thresholds and utilising the Borg Method were key takeaways. Thank you to Walter (Masters Coach) for organizing and Peter for such a great session!

Some have asked me what is happening on the Credit River. I wanted to provide an update. I was down at the river after being alerted that there seem to be an oi...l like material covering a large part of the river. Councillor Ras was down on site as well. City staff, the Region, and the Ministry of the Environment are all aware and working on the situation. The Source seems to be around the Queensway. Marina staff are out to try to contain and soak up some of the material. Also Animal Control have been alerted to look after and clean up any Wildlife affected. I will provide further details when I have them. See more
