Just because a company posts an analysis on their website, doesn't mean it actually represents the oil they are selling! Make sure your dealing with ethical su...ppliers. Case in point, HBNO (Health and Beauty Natural Oils) post a report from a third party lab for their "Lavender 40/42" on their website here: https://www.essentialnaturaloils.com//1%20Rah/Lavender.pdf . Problem is, this report does not match the oil they are actually selling, and not even close to being true lavender (sample purchased directly from their website). OK if you want to say that "Lavender 40/42" is pretty much always a compound involving Lavandin and claiming this is well known in the industry, but to put up a fake report on your website that does not match the product you are selling is pretty reprehensible. Nothing against the third party lab, they can only analyze what is sent to them. But just realize that what had to happen here is that sample was sent to the third party lab that more closely matched a lavender profile, and then the report was obtained and used on their website to promote the sale of a completely different product (lavandin is much cheaper than lavender). I know of at least one particular retailer of essential oils that uses HBNO as their sole supplier and this is just another reason why this retailer is not included in the annual EOU poll for Favorite Essential Oil Company, because they rely solely on the HBNO reports for their "quality control" and as you can see, these reports cannot be trusted. As a supplier, it's one thing to get fooled and get caught with a bad oil, but it's quite another to send a sample to an independent lab for the purposes of getting a report and then knowingly using that report to sell an entirely different lot of oil. I suppose it’s possible the company mistakenly put the wrong report up on their site but I’ll let the reader decide what their intention was.
