Did I win the election? No! But I did win. I won new friendships. I won the respect of others. I won a greater understanding of being kinder and more gracious. I won experience. I won the art of being a better listener. I do not like to lose and because I won so much I can weigh that against what I lost and be comfortable in knowing the wins are far more important than the loss. What a ride!
