In light of the recent events in Fort Mac, Doula Moon Birth Services would love to offer placenta encapsulation services for FREE to any mamas who are having to deliver in Edmonton as a result of the evacuation. If you are due or know anyone due in the next month or so I would very happily love to encapsulate your placenta. In such a crazy unsure time, placenta pills could really help with the intense transition into parenthood as an evacuee. It's the least I can do. Please share to any mamas!

The cord insertion on this twin placenta was amazing. This mama naturally birthed her twin girls. A "normal" placentas cord insertion (top placenta) connects from the middle of the placenta. However, baby B's placenta had an amazing velamentous insertion with a huge vein running almost the entire circumference of the placenta. Sometimes people come into your life and you just know it was for a reason. This new mama is teaching me whole new levels of devotion and dedication. What a beautiful tribute to one of Edmonton's most iconic midwives. Such a sad day for our birth community to lose such an amazing person. RIP Noreen.
