I am now off for Christmas break (aside from next Tuesday if you've previously booked-don't worry!) See you Tuesday, January 4th. I wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season, though it will be different than most. Thank you for your continued support.

UPDATE I will be reopening the clinic in September when school goes back; assuming there are no major changes between now and then with the COVID-19 situation. I am currently booking for that time, however in the meantime, I am still home with my kids so please bear with me if returning your call takes a little longer than normal! There are some changes that are already in place in the building:... you will be required to call when you arrive, and wait outside until I come and get you you are required to wear a mask until you’re seated in my chair & there is hand sanitizer to use when you enter & exit the building there is no longer waiting room seating so please come to your appointment alone your temperature will be taken upon entry to the building with a contactless therm gun and some screening questions will be asked and recorded; these questions unfortunately have to be asked on the phone while booking as well so you will hear them twice Thank you for your patience and I look forward to seeing you!

We are preparing for the day when dental hygienists will return to their practices. Part of the preparation is determining what best practice will be for Infect...ion Prevention and Control post COVID-19. The four Ontario oral health regulators, College of Dental Hygienists, College of Dental Technologists, College of Denturists and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons are meeting and working together on understanding and providing best practice guidelines and standards for our registrants. The professional associations have agreed to be part of the discussions. Our plan is to have this ready and communicated to the professions as soon as possible so that you will have time, knowing that this is a rapidly changing situation, to prepare your practices for the safe delivery of care. CLOSED! As per the RCDSO, non-essential dental services need to be suspended at this time. At the beginning of April, they will revisit their recommendations, so I’ll be in touch then. I will be calling those who are scheduled for the remainder of March to rebook. Keep brushing & flossing!

I will be following the Public Health and CDHA guidelines concerning COVID-19 and asking that if you have been travelling at all, OR have any flu-like symptoms, you postpone your hygiene appointment for at least 14 days from the day you return.
