Downey Pharmacy is pleased to offer flu shots on November 1st and November 8th Please note the following information: Please call the pharmacy to book an appointment as there will be no walk-ins accepted. High-dose flu shot is available ONLY for those 65+. Please request the high-dose shot when booking your appointment. Screening questionnaire and consent form MUST be completed prior to your arrival for your appointment. Forms are available to pick up at the pharmacy prior to your appointment day or can be found online to print at: https://www.opatoday.com//for-pharmac/tools-and-forms/uiip Click the first link on the website to open and download the form titled: OPA UIIP Patient Screening Questions / Consent Form / Prescription Templates We are asking that all customers please note: Follow social distancing guidelines. Masks will be required (unless you have a medical condition preventing their use). Please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. If you arrive early, we request that you wait in your car or outside as we do not want crowding in the pharmacy. We will be booking appointments starting Thursday, October 15th.

It became a law to wear a mask while you are visiting us. Thank you fo understanding. Effective 12:01 a.m. July 13, 2020, instructions to all commercial establishments currently operating during Stage 2 within Haliburton County, City of Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland County will include the following: 1. Have a written policy in place to prohibit Personsii from entering the premises of the commercial establishment that is permitted to open under EMCPA Ontario Regulation 2...63/20 Stage 2 Closures https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/r20263 or remaining in the premises if the Person is not wearing a non-medical mask or face covering . Best efforts shall be made to only allow entry to Persons wearing a non-medical mask or face covering. The non-medical mask or face covering must be worn inside the premises at all times, unless it is reasonably required to temporarily remove the face covering for services provided by the establishment. it is reasonably required to temporarily remove the face covering for services provided by the establishment. A Person shall be exempt from wearing a non-medical mask or face covering on the premises if: a. The Person is a child under the age of two years; or a child under the age of 5 years either chronologically or developmentally and he or she refuses to wear a face covering and cannot be persuaded to do so by their caregiver; b. The Person is incapacitated and unable to remove their mask without assistance; c. For any other medical reason, the Person cannot safely wear a non-medical mask or face covering such as, but not limited to, respiratory disease, cognitive difficulties or difficulties in hearing or processing information. d. For any religious reason, the Person cannot wear a non-medical mask or face covering or cannot cover the face in a manner that would properly control the source. 2. The policy should be enacted and enforced in ‘good faith’ and should be used as an opportunity to educate about the use of non-medical masks or face coverings in indoor commercial establishments. 3. Post appropriate visible signage indicating that non-medical masks or face coverings are required inside the premises. Sample signage can be found on the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District website at www.hkpr.on.ca . 4. Ensure all employees are aware of the policy and are trained on your establishment’s expectations. These instructions shall remain in effect until such time as they are modified or revoked by Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit’s Medical Officer of Health. See more

Effective Monday March 30th Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have temporarily changed our hours of operation. Our new hours are ... Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm. Saturday from 9 til 5 PM and Sunday from 10 to 3 PM We are doing everything we can to help you through this difficult time, and we are committed to the safety and health of our staff and customers. Effective immediately Downey Pharmacy will waive the 2$ delivery until further notice in order to encourage everyone to utilize this service during the outbreak. For your safety, we will be adopting a no contact delivery policy. We will also suspend the OLG lottery service & gift cards during the outbreak. And we will encourage everyone to use debit or credit cards instead of cash. Please share to reach everyone in our area.
