Paddles Up! Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Aboriginal Sport and Recreation New Brunswick is proud to introduce our new canoe/kayaking program, that was developed and delivered to the youth of New Brunswick in July 2020. The staff of Aboriginal Sport New Brunswick had been focus over several months training, working with our partners, and various facilitators to create this dynamic summer youth program. ... This program is titled "Paddles Up!" Which was designed to keep our youth in mind during these uncertain times. Our goal was to provide a memorable learning opportunity in adventure, such as paddling and enjoying the bountiful gifts of our river, learning and celebrating traditional ceremonies, singing and dancing and honouring our ancestors, the introduction of culture into sport being a focus. We hope the youth of our province have enjoyed this program and we look forward to expanding and exploring other indigenous communities of New Brunswick moving forward.
