We've been having lots of fun making these decorated trees to "spruce" up the downtown! (See what we did there? ) The Downtown Huntsville BIA is doing a great job of bringing holiday cheer to our little town and we've enjoyed partnering with them on this project.

*BUSINESS HIGHLIGHT* Spectacles was first opened on Feb 16 1987 at 3038 Hurontario St. Mississauga. The business grew and thrived there for 17 years. In 2003, the owner, Marc White, decided to move his family north in hopes of little shorter work week and a healthier environment. Spectacles reopened on Labour day weekend of 2003, just shortly after the great North Eastern Blackout of that year and has been at its present location , 77 Main St E, since that time. The owner, Marc White, has been an Optician since 1979 and has a family background in the optical industry extending back over 100 years. With all the various members of his family, including Grandfather, father, mother, brother, uncles , aunts, cousins and nephews, there is more than 350 years of total family experience in the optical industry. @spectaclesvisioncentre

Instead of the Tiny Tots Halloween Parade, the Downtown Huntsville BIA is running a Pumpkin Pop-Up photo contest as well as encouraging people to visit merchants in costume for a sweet treat on October 31.
