Its another sad day for Queen Street Niagara Falls, first they cancelled the 90 minute free parking starting in July and now they have decided put and end to a 12 year old event. Whats next to go Canada Day? We believe its just a matter of time until the city pulls the trigger on moving that event to another location.

It is absolutely shameful that the Queen Street Niagara Falls downtown BIA board and Springlicious organizing committee have omitted a block and a half of the street for Springlicious 2018. The board and committee are showing bias to certain levy payers which is completely ignorant and counter productive especially when the omitted area has shop and stores that would benefit from the event. We do notice that the event stops right at the store front of one of the organizing members.

Queen Street Niagara Falls Downtown BIA and its board of directors again fail to disclose meeting minutes on its website even after being told by the ombudsman it was mandatory. We downtown folks wonder what the BIA is hiding? The last meeting minutes on the BIA site goes back to December of 2017.... We are extremely disappointed downtown that there will not be Headliner this year at Springlicious. Other events that took this path are now either completely gone or just barely surviving, Friendship festival is barely holding on and the Welland Food Festival is no longer happening. This is a poor decision on the part of the downtown in a series of poor decision over the past few years.

Its absolutely outrageous that the Queen Street Niagara Falls has failed to list Paris Crepes Cafe on its website at www.niagarafallsdowntown.com.
