An update on Brad's travel the last few weekends. This week I returned from a 3 week regatta tour. I started out sailing in Cleveland with Trey Sheehan on the T-10 Hooligan. We have made a couple new sails this year with slightly modified sail shapes, We used our standard T 10 sails to win the NA’s last year but thought there was still some small changes we would like to make if our standard sails were ok for a couple years. (The class has restrictions on how many can be pur...Continue reading
Congrats to Extreme2 for winning the Equalizer Regatta! Also congrats to Scalded Dog for their 3rd place finish. Both teams use Doyle Stratis sails exclusively!
Sounds like a good day on the water in Nashville for Brad and the Extreme 2 boys! Scalded Dog won one of the other races, making it 4 out of 5 bullets for boats using our sails!
Finally a bit of racing news! This weekend the Cleveland 216 Regatta was held and in the 7 boat T-10 fleet only 2 boats won races...the only two with Doyle Sails! Congrats to Trey Sheehan and Team Hooligan on a dominating victory scoring 5 first place finishes out of races. Their throw out was a second. Second place went to the combined team of Nuts on your Privateer. Heidi Backus and Michael Sheehan teamed up for this event. Brad was on hand to keep the Hooligans going fa...st and going the right way. This week Brad and Trey head to California to take part in the US Sailing Champions of Champions regatta sailed this year in the Harbor 20. They are representing the T-10 Class as they won the North American's last year. On Brad's see American tour he will then travel to Nashville to sail on board Extreme 2 in the S2 7.9 Class at the always fun Equalizer regatta. Then he comes home for his 14 lock up in Quarantine. More to follow on his trip and other racing that is happening in the US as the weather starts to get colder, boats up here get put away and regattas start shifting farther and farther south!
Another team making the switch......there is an alternative!
Welcome to the group!
Can you douse your spinnaker in 20 seconds? The Maxi 72's are amazing boats with all the tools. #poweredbyDoyle!

Congrats to the Proper Villain Team for placing 2nd in the T-10 Class the Bayview One Design regatta this weekend in Detroit. They finished just 2 points out of first. (Isn't nice to see regatta results!)
First SYC Monday night double handed event. Brad with his 9yo son Cam showing how its done! It was a full on breeze from the south last night so a spinnaker start then a bunch of jib reaching with a good beat at the end.
Bella Mente showing some new sails in prep for the fall Med racing season.
Good day! Here are some pictures of a project we have been involved with since its inception. Sprint 7 is a Michele Molino 31 that is owned by John Stevens from Detroit. It has been a fun project to be involved with. The boat is now sailing on Lake St. Clair and is a lot fun to sail. The boat will do its first race this evening and its first regatta will be in a few weeks at the BYC BOD regatta. Tac is schedule to race on the boat both tonight and at the BOD. Reports to follow.
