I got a response that they park was not willing to add lights or change the hours. I asked if they could put some sand down or wood chips as it’s quite muddy. I was told someone from Maintenance would take a look.

Today I received a FB message and was asked to help post this. They would like information on if the dog’s shots are up to date. Please reach to myself or @danielle meirer. No intentions to have anything done with the dog just looking for it’s health info as the child had to get rabies shots.

Finally heard back from the Conservation regarding solar lights. Thinking of starting a online petition? Here is the response: Sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you for your interest in the Kettle Creek Dog Park.... During the creation of the Dog Park it was discussed by the partnering agencies that the operating hours for the park would be dusk to dawn. Therefore, putting lights in to assist in the use of the dog park after dusk would not be in keeping with the park rules and regulations. We do meet annually with representatives of the City of St.Thomas and Central Elgin, who are partners in the dog park, and we can raise your request with them at that

I’ve sent an email and left a voicemail about the possibility of solar lights at the park still haven’t heard back anything. I’ll try again tomorrow:)
