Today I had the pleasure of delivering donations dropped at the store of children’s boots snow pants coats hats mitts etc. for the winter plus Michael one of our managers here and I went shopping at value Village to pick up more pants gloves boots and we were happily greeted at Cathy Weaver elementary school in Hamilton our sister school for Waterdown who were so grateful for the timing of our donation. If anybody wishes to donate washed and cleaned snow pants jackets boots mitts scarves, etc for children in grades K-8 we are willing to take it at the back door at the Dairy Queen and deliver it to more schools. Thanks again

Exciting news to share with our community here in Waterdown/Flamborough!!! In 2019 and 2020, we raised $24,175 for Mcmaster Children’s Hospital. As the sister of a sick kid, my little brother who passed away at the age of 37 from a congenital heart defect and having my daughter who’s 21 now and a cancer survivor, I am pleased to announce that we once again are purchasing equipment for Mac with this money that you all helped us raise by purchasing a blizzard on Blizzard Day, b...uying 50-50 tickets, roundups and making donations to our coin bins on the counters. Being a McMaster family has given us great opportunity to purchase pieces of equipment needed in various departments at the hospital relating to paediatrics with Blizzard Day money raised. We are pleased to announce the following: NICU has the priority need for funding SenTec digital monitoring system of carbon dioxide tension and oxygen tensions in premature babies. Abnormal levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide can cause permanent brain damage or severe eye damage, if not diagnosed early. This non invasive, continuous transcutaneous monitoring supports therapy guidance for premature infants. The cost is $22,000-$25,000. The $24,175 we as a community raised will fund this piece!! CONGRATULATIONS MY FRIENDS - we did it again!! Another piece of life saving equipment for the children of our future generations
