Here are some tips and info for wearing contact lenses during the pandemic based on recent research from the Centre for Ocular Research and Education: 1. You can still keep wearing your contact lenses - there is no current scientific evidence that contact lens wearers have an increased risk of contracting COVID-19 compared with glasses wearers . 2. Good hygiene habits are critical - thorough handwashing and drying are essential, as well as good properly wearing and caring fo...r contact lenses including good contact lens case hygiene and regularly cleaning glasses with soap and water . 3. Regular glasses do not provide protection - there is no current scientific evidence that everyday glasses offer protection against COVID-19, some say glasses wear may lead to more face touching . 4. Keep unwashed hands away from your face - a reminder to avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes with unwashed hands no matter if you wear glasses, contact lenses or no vision correction at all . 5. If you are sick, temporarily stop contact lens wear - use glasses until you return to full health and then you can start wear again with fresh new contact lenses and lens case Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns surrounding contact lens wear at this time. If you are running low on your contact lens supply we are still accepting contact lens orders and shipping them directly to your home.
