Extremely important that everyone works together now to prevent a further increase in hospitalizations, ICU admissions and deaths during this second wave. Wear a mask, stay 2m apart, and wash your hands frequently. You could save someone’s life.
Still need your flu shot? We are having a couple clinics next week at our office in Chatham. If you are a CKFHT patient, give us a call and we’ll book you in!
Please make sure that you and all of your loved ones have downloaded this simple app for COVID contact tracing! So easy to do and it can help Public Health in preventing the spread! Especially important for any of your loved ones who are high risk! https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/covid-alert/id1520284227
Thank you to the patient who left this at the office for me on Friday. I couldn’t find a mask for the turkey but he passed the Covid screening!!
Less is more this Thanksgiving. Don’t bring the Covid in from other zones. Spread the love virtually! Let’s stay safe!

CHATHAM KENT FAMILY HEALTH TEAM POSITION STATEMENT ON MASK EXEMPTIONS
Mandatory mask vote at CK council tonight. Masks are not perfect but are another important tool in addition to social distancing and good hand hygiene in preventing the spread of COVID in CK. It will be important to normalize this practice before it is required of kids returning to school in September. Let our council know how you feel about this issue by filling in the correspondence form on the attached website. Stay safe! https://www.chatham-kent.ca/Council/

It’s time that we all just bite the bullet and wear a mask if you are going out and will be interacting with others. It’s really not that hard and you may just help prevent someone else from getting sick. It may also help us get back to ‘normal’ sooner! Let’s just do it! https://www.cnn.com//coronavirus-mask-wellness-/index.html
Our offices continue to remain open. If you are a patient and have a medical concern, please call us and we will arrange for either a virtual or in person assessment depending on the nature of the concern. In person visits for stable medical conditions, annual physicals etc, are still being rescheduled due to the COVID 19 outbreak. Stay safe!!

No benefit seen with hydroxychloroquine but increased deaths in patients who were treated with it. Not a ‘game changer’. https://www.thelancet.com//PIIS0140-6736(20)31180/fulltext
