Find our updated website at https://slavelakenaturopathic.com You will also notice Dr. Porisky has taken her husband's last name and is now Dr. Baker (no more need to ask how to pronounce 'Porisky' ). We hope to start accepting patients in the new year- an announcement will be made at that time with more info on how you can book your appointment.

Dr. Porisky is officially a Slave Lake resident! (And making the most of this snowy day to update our website!) We are currently working towards getting re-established in a clinic space. Much goes in to moving and re-establishing a practice and we appreciate your patience during this process. We will continue to keep our website and social media updated. Stay tuned!

After five years at Mountain Health Team, I will be relocating my practice in October to be closer to family. . It has been a true joy providing Naturopathic Medicine to so many of you here in Airdrie. Thank you for trusting me with your care. . There will be a new female Naturopathic Doctor joining Mountain Health Team in my place. As always, the very caring and experienced Dr. Mountain will continue to see patients here as well- he comes highly recommended.... . Please reach out to me at the clinic if you need an appointment prior to my departure October 5th, or if you have any questions or concerns about your care going forward. See more

Tell us again the story of how free ranging hens like us produce healthier, more nutrient dense eggs. We love that story. . . #freerange #backyardchickens #eggs #nutrientdense #vitamind #vitamink #storytime #nutritiontips #healthlyliving #healthyeating #airdrie #naturalmedicine

This is such a great quote that I often share with women I see for pre-conception care or fertility concerns. . Generally speaking, the things we advise women do once pregnant are also things that will help women to get pregnant. . We love helping women optimize their health and experience healthy and happy pregnancies!

I felt like I had my life back This was a patient describing how she felt after a B12 injection. This patient had been experiencing fatigue, brain fog, poor memory and low mood for years. And she had very low B12 levels. B12 deficiency is no joke. It can cause many different symptoms. Very commonly these symptoms are related to the brain and nervous system. Fatigue, low mood, and memory impairment are common. ... B12 can be given by mouth or by injection. Injections are usually prioritized when levels are very low and raising them quickly is important, or when you have digestive symptoms (or a condition like celiac or IBS) and your ability to absorb B12 may be compromised. Note to our patients- we are doing B-vitamin injections in clinic again, and following all recommended hygiene, cleaning and sanitization practices to be able to do so.
