Good vs Bad stress: Good Stress-- helps our Minds focus, our senses sharpen + our bodies get ready for Physical Challenges ( job presentation, job interview, a date or playland ride) examples: 1. butterflies in the stomach... 2. heart begins to beat faster --these Short Bursts of stress r completely Natural + Normal -- Long term inescapable stress (ie. Bad Stress) not good for us. When our minds + bodies r consistently bombarded with Stress Hormones, our mental + physical health will suffer (examples: having ur cell phone in ur back pocket, relationship breakdowns, chronic illness, financial difficulties) Whatever the kind of Stress we experience one thing is clear. it is unavoidable. so we need to find ways to harness the Power of Short-term stress + control the negative effects of the Long Term Stress

Health Considerations and effects when VAPING: What we know so far: 1.) the amount of Chemicals + Contaminants (yes Contaminants) in Vapour is normally lower levels but Not Always... 2.) when VAPING Oils + Liquids r Heated, the Reaction can create Formaldehyde Gas (ewh) + Toxic Metals (like Lead + Nickel) and these substances r carried within the Vapour (gas)-- thus your beautiful Lungs are turning Black 3.) Vaping will Create Nicotine Dependence in people Not previously using nicotine (like cigarettes, cigars + pipe smoking to name a few) 4.) Vaping increases Exposure to very Harmful Chemicals like Anti-Freeze called Propylene-Glycol 5.) when Using Higher power + Temperature Settings will produce more of the Chemicals 6.) so far no reported cases of -- Popcorn Lung -- ("Popcorn lung" is the nickname for bronchiolitis obliterans. That's a condition that damages your lungs' smallest airways and makes you cough and feel short of breath. It's sometimes caused by breathing in a chemical used to flavor microwave popcorn )... it comes from Inhaling Heated Diacetyl -- a flavouring Agent (me call Chemical) Used in Vaping Products can cause Popcorn Lung

Mouth Breathing and the Dentist: As Humans we are obligate Nasal Breathers but Mouth Breathing has become prevalent and almost the norm... Mouth Breathing has been considered a Factor in Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB) esp'lly in kids.... it may be present from a combination of Obstruction and Habituation thus lead to both Skeletal + Muscle facial imbalances -- Orthodontics become important... it has been shown that Mouth Breathing in Children has been correlated (1.) to Day Time Sleepiness (DTS) + (2.) to Risk of Learning Difficulties Some Factors that are associated with an increase in symptoms: 1.) Rhinitis 2.) Maternal Smoking 3.) Positive Allergic Skin tests

Please be advised that --Teeth wear and Dental Erosion are 2x distinct Signs -- usually we see the two in conjunction but they can be separate activities

what is acceptable level of Acidic consumption per day? -- they found that every Single additional intake of an Acidic Food or Drink Dramatically increased a person's risk to Tooth Erosion-- 1.) one per day or less was not associated with increased risk... 2.) two daily intakes Twice more likely to have tooth erosion -- and if you have tooth wear even more detrimental-- 3.) with 3x or more daily Intakes of an Acidic food or beverage-- the Risk Jumps up considerably -- 13x to 14x times more likely to have an erosive event on your teeth See more

Helping Patients with Erosive tooth wear by changing Dietary Habits: the frequency of Dietary Intake (consumption) --- of fruits like citrus, berries and some apples especially sour type and drinks like Carbonated beverages, fruit drinks (actually stores call it juices), fruit Teas + wine --- Particularly Between Meals is a very important Factor in Erosive Tooth Wear. so Daily intake matters for your Oral and Body Health (eg. class 2 diabetes which is becoming a global issue)

Antibiotics Use: we are very serious about antibiotic use... overuse of Antibiotics is Serious and Growing Global Threat... Antibiotic Resistance is emerging and these Superbugs are getting a foothold... thus Infections which are Bacterial tend to be very serious (than viral type)... when a medical professional asks you if though had a fever no antibiotics your immune system is doing a Great Job...we thou requires antibiotics they are going to work

By curtailing or avoiding the prescription of Opiods--- certainly if Opiods are not specifically indicated--- that will limit the supply and therefore take away opportunities for the Public to get caught up in the use, misuse + potentially abuse of these controlled substances

Look what happens to lower dental bone level when Dental Bone Augumentation nor Alveolar Ridge Preservation is done post extractions of the lower teeth-- image: left is an image of a healthy lower jaw + right is the image of a dental alveolar bone loss post extraction on comparison one sees how much bone can be lost over a short period of time and if thou develops a systemic disease even Faster loss

Pre-emptive pain Control: i suggest that pain control medications be taken prior to dental treatment to help mitigate Pain, Trismus (spasm of the jaw muscles, causing the mouth to remain tightly closed) and Inflammation. For example night before take 2x Tylenol and next day 1x hour prior to treatment take 2x Advils then following dental treatment then mnemonic "2-4-24" is suggested (previous article discusses 2-4-24
