GREAT NEWS- LivDental is open for ALL dental services as of May 14, 2020 (tomorrow) and for Dental Hygiene services on May 19, 2020. Some of the Alberta Dental Association and College safety guidelines for dental clinics include the following: - only asymptomatic patients and those who pass COVID-19 screening will be able to access services in the clinic. - all patients will be screened for symptoms and temperature upon arriving in Clinic. All staff will be screened twice d...aily. - increased high contact areas will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day. - patients will be required to wear masks to and from their appointments, and will have to practice physical distancing within the clinic while not undergoing treatment. IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING RECENT CHANGES TO URGENT AND EMERGENCY DENTAL CARE GUIDELINES - Saturday May 2, 2020 To our Valued Patients, We miss seeing your Smiles and look forward to being allowed to help you take care of more than just emergency dental concerns! ... On April 30, 2020, Jason Kenney announced that Dental Clinics in Alberta would be permitted to start providing additional services on Monday May 4th, 2020 subject to the guidelines and restrictions of our governing body. The Alberta Dental Association and College released updated guidelines on Friday May 1st regarding what types of Urgent and Emergency Services may be provided starting Monday May 4th. We have reviewed the updated Science-based Guidelines and Protocols regarding Urgent and Emergency Care and are satisfied that they represent a great path to continue to protect the health and safety of patients, staff and our community while allowing dental professionals to address a larger range of urgent concerns that may not have met the previous Emergency guidelines. We have been working hard and are prepared to provide the permitted services in full accordance with the guidelines starting next week. We also anticipate additional levels of care will be allowed to proceed as part of Phase 1 of Alberta's Relaunch Strategy expected to begin as early as May 14th, and will provide details as they become available. At this time we will only be treating asymptomatic Patients who pass COVID19 pre-screening questions and assessments. Any symptomatic Patients will be referred to specialty facilities as recommended by the ADA&C. While we will continue to accept New Patients as resources permit, we will initially be prioritizing availability for our Existing Patients in gratitude of our relationship with them and their patience in waiting for us to be permitted to provide care.
