As I reflect on the year 2020 coming to a close, I could only think of the Covid-19 pandemic. I never imagined that my clinic would be shut down for nearly 12 weeks, that I would be forced to furlough team members, that virtual visits are a poor substitute, and that foyer pick-up would become a thing. As a physician, I have always recognized the importance of good health. As a daughter and sister, I have firsthand experience with how illness can change everything. As a pati...ent, I am appreciative of everything our health care system affords you and me. The pandemic has reinforced my desire to help my patients, friends and family achieve optimal health and wellbeing. The Coronavirus made me aware how really lucky I am to be a dermatologist in this community. During lock down, I not only missed diagnosing/treating/helping you, but I missed the social interaction that comes from your visits.
