At Dr Richard Roberti and Associates, we are happy to announce we are now inviting all new and existing patients back to our office for routine eye care. Since the middle of March, we’ve only been providing urgent eye care due to the restrictions in place as a result of the pandemic. The government of Ontario and the College of Optometrists have now deemed it safe for us to reopen our doors, and we look forward to seeing all of you. Our office will look a little differen...t as we return, we have made some changes to allow for physical distancing and keep all patients and staff safe. We are limiting the number of patients in the office at one time. We are asking all patients to wear a face mask to the office, if a patient does not have access to their own mask, one will be provided to them. When they arrive, patients will be required to sanitize their hands and have their temperature taken with a contactless thermometer. We have strict sanitizing procedures in place in order to keep everyone safe. All surfaces and equipment will be properly disinfected with the appropriate cleaning solutions between every patient as well as routinely disinfected throughout the day. Our office hours have been extended and we have made changes to our schedule in order to allow access to as many patients as possible. We are happy this day has come and we can reopen our doors to our valued patients. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Our team has been working hard on new procedures and protocols that will allow for a safe and comfortable eye examination experience within the constraints of COVID 19. As it stands, we are still providing only emergency care, but are looking forward to getting back to work once the restrictions are lifted. We miss our patients! Ever wonder what the world would look like if you were color blind? UK based optical retailer, Lenstore, in collaboration with Colour Blind Awareness (a non profit organization to raise awareness of the needs of those with color deficiency), have recently unveiled a photo gallery portraying New York City as seen by people living with color blindness. In the link below, you’ll see a picture of Central Park, as shown with someone with Tritanopia, which is a rare form of color blindness caused by lack of working blue cone cells in the retina, causing them to confuse shades of blues with greens, oranges with reds and yellows with grey or violet.
