With the news of businesses re-opening across Nova Scotia starting June 5th, we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back! Over the next few days, I will be reviewing the new regulations and preparing to ensure we are providing a safe clinic environment for everyone, as well as deciding on our official office hours and operations. I would like to offer my condolences to the families and friends of the victims that were devastated by the senseless tragedy over the past weekend. It’s difficult to process how this could have happened at all, let alone in such a small, peaceful community in rural Nova Scotia. Our hearts and thoughts are with you. I would also like to offer my appreciation and gratitude for the RCMP and Police forces for their bravery, dedication, and the sacrifices they make for our protection each and every day. Sadly, while I had hoped to re-open the office next week, we will remain closed for regular visits for the time being. In the meantime, I will continue to provide urgent or emergency care, which is deemed as treatment for anyone experiencing sudden or significant pain that interferes with their ability to carry out normal functioning. WE ARE STILL HERE TO HELP! Although I have decided to close the clinic this week to support the stay at home measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am still available for anyone requiring urgent treatment and emergency care. The last thing I want is for those with treatable pain or injuries to have to rely on the already limited medical services available at this crucial time.
