First day back...done & dusted. It was great to see some familiar faces.

Dr Specs Optical will be re-opening on Monday, March 8th. 9:30am-4:30pm. Masks are required. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. If you want to purchase glasses you need to book an appointment. Call 250-395-3800. If you need a repair or adjustment you can stop by and knock on the door. This procedure may change as I figure out what will work best for all of us.

A little something to brighten your day

Update: Well, we are on our way tomorrow for my husband's 2nd cancer surgery. Unfortunately he had a recurrence of the cancer in the same area he had surgery and radiation back in the Spring within a couple of weeks of completing radiation. We are both cautiously optimistic that this second surgery will be successful. We want to Thank You for your patience during this time.

Just wanted to share a little bit of wonderful.

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a safe long weekend. If your plans involve outdoor activity then remember your Sunglasses , sunscreen and a hat. As many of you know, I am unable to return to work right now because my husband is dealing with cancer (melanoma) I was hoping to be able to get back to work this month but he has had a return of cancer in the same area that he just had surgery and radiation on. We are awaiting to hear from his team as to what the next steps are. Until then I am sad to say that the store will remain closed until further notice.

Just checking in to say Hello and give you an update. As you know, the store is not open yet due to Covid-19 and my husbands health. Life has been very busy since the end of March with medical appointments and radiation treatment. He has Melanoma. Because we are having to social distance you become very aware of other people. I am seeing people that are outside enjoying the sun....no sunglasses, no hats and possibly no sunscreen. It especially concerns me to see infants and toddlers not being protected. Skin cancer is serious business folks. Please protect yourself and loved ones and be safe out there.
