Draft Horse Town is powered not only by our beautiful horses, but by a volunteer base of over 70 people! However, we could not do what we do without the Calgary Stampede's hard-working Agriculture Programming Manager Sam Coutu and his team. Thank-you for all you do year-round!
It’s not just Draft Horses that make up our teams. It’s a dedicated group of volunteers, teamsters, hitchers, and barn staff that bring Draft Horse Town to life for 10 days. Thank you so much for joining us, and helping us celebrate 10 years at the Calgary Stampede!
Saturday's Draft Horse Town action saw another round of our Fast/Slow Races, one of our Teamsters competing in the Heavy Horse Pull, morning weigh-ins, and Blacksmithing skills. Join us for one final day of horses, Stampede Talent Search entertainment, Wheelwrights, and more!
Our Fast/Slow Draft Horse race today took an unexpected ‘turn’ thanks to Teamsters Nick Shipley, Terry Bailey, and Keven Graham!
