What a great read... I think we have all witnessed failing up in healthcare. I also have had the outsider experience...but I was not sure what it was at the time.

It is a freeze you face ( and nether regions) day today. Annie waits patiently while I clean her stall, fill her bucket with fresh water and hay. Louis the cat agrees it’s in indoor day today.

Someone parked in my PACU on call parking spot yesterday. First thought was the spot is clearly marked. Second thought was, if this spot was designated for a physician on call would this person still have parked here? Good manners prevailed and I left a polite note. Any thoughts or comments? What would you have done, if anything?

Evidence to confirm what we already know

I have to say this is the best short film I have seen about Nursing in the ICU...its 15.10 long and not a second is wasted. Several parts remind me of my ICU days in Alberta during H1N1. I can't imagine having to Zoom or Facetime a family members passing...Check in on your nurse friends people... because they are not OK! Nurses are champions of " hiding behind the mask".

My heart is heavy these last few days as I think about what my former colleagues are going through in the ER'S and the ICU'S in Alberta as well as other parts of the country. There is much controversy about shutting down businesses, the CORONA-19 virus just being a cold, conspiracy theories etc., regardless of what you believe, at the end of the day please check in and support your Nurses, Doctors and other front line health care providers because THEY ARE NOT OK....
