Satisfaction after removing and clearing a large root intrusion to an existing system. Our camera's are able to visually detect concerns but our Crew never knows exactly what they will find until an area has been exposed for further assessment. This root blockage was thick, compacted, and of great length. Great job Crew!

Irrigation lines can help keep your gardens looking green during the summer months, but did you know we often find them punched through primary drainage system pipes. Water may flow past freely but over time sediment and debris may build up in this area creating a concern down the road. CCTV reviews are an important step to ensure your drainage system is functioning correctly and to identify any concerns if present.

Some days it is the simple moments onsite that bring our Crew the greatest joy! When we find gecko's onsite it quickly becomes the talk of the office!

You never know what you might find in a drainage system; beer cans, wine bottles, Nerf darts, croquet/tennis balls, old glass pop bottles, tuna cans, and the list goes on! You know when spring is just around the corner when the gecko's start appearing. #geckos #spring #drainage

We have experienced extensive flooding in the recent month, and one major culprit we have come across is heavier root intrusion. A tree was planted a couple of years ago, close to the foundation, right over top of the primary drainage system, and as the root system grew it had fully blocked the drain pipe. The water was not able to flow properly towards the exit, backed up through the cold joint between the foundation and slab in basement floor causing extensive flooding, and damage to personal property. It is Important to get your drainage systems checked every year or so, and ahead of inclement seasonal weather to ensure your system is functioning as it should. #drainscope #roots #camera #gotdrains

We are often asked to perform cleaning services by our Clients, and can be met with some hesitation about our Technician's performing a CCTV camera inspection first. The sole reason we check any drainage system is to identify if any concerns are present, and thankfully our Technician's followed protocol today. Our Technician's found a gas line cross bored through the drain tiles, and cleaning without reviewing the area could have potentially put our Client's, neighbor's, and others in harms way. Our specialty camera equipment is used prior to, during, and after cleaning services. #drainscope #drainage #cctv #inspections

Meet Leah, DRAINSCOPE Administrator. You most likely have spoken to her on the phone, or corresponded with her by email. She handles the day to day tasks, liaises with the Lead Foreman, and assists the Owner, Derek where needed. She oversees the CRM, and integrated systems proprietary to DrainScope. Originally hired for two weeks, over five years later, she is still working for DrainScope, and loves the close-knit DRAINSCOPE culture.

Did you know that your landscaping; shrubs, hedges, trees, and other varieties can affect your perimeter drainage system? Over time the roots infiltrate the system by various methods, continuing to grow, until a full root blockage occurs or the pipe is damaged. Roots grow at various rates, making routine maintenance key to helping ensure your system is functioning correctly. #DrainScope #drainage

" Thank you. Your man Garrett was an absolute mensch and did a really great job. What we thought was gonna be a horror show turned out to be a non-event, in no small part, cos of how you guys handled it. - David."

"Honest I never planted a bulb!" Thanks Ken for sharing this photo with us. Ken had his sewer line replaced in August 2018 by DRAINSCOPE using Trenchless Pipe Burst method. The great advantage of this method, is that there is minimal impact to landscaping, and our Client was happy to see his spring garden in bloom. Got questions about the Trenchless Method for your property, don't hesitate to give us a call!

This root blockage was approximately five feet in length, and was cleared in a short time. CCTV camera review was completed afterwards to ensure the root intrusion was removed, and water was flowing appropriately. Got roots? Call us today!

Our Technician's find a few surprises in drainage systems; croquet balls, nerf darts, beer cans, pop bottles, hot wheels, rats, spiders....and drainage lizards. This little fella was very inquisitive of the camera long enough to take a photo before he scurried along his way.

Our Technician found a root 'snake' this morning! In a matter of a few years, tree roots can infiltrate the newer 4" PVC perforated pipe system, and cause a root blockage. Routine maintenance caught this concern before it was too late!

Got Roots? Our Technician was conducting a maintenance CCTV camera review for a new Client today, and found heavy root infiltration in the sewer line! Cleaned and cleared onsite, and re-reviewed with camera to see water flowing appropriately. Check out this photo of the root removal from the system! One more reason to have your drains checked, call us today! #drainagesolutions #CCTV

TESTIMONIAL FOR DRAINSCOPE Strata Plan VIS **** August 27, 2018 After considering a number of quotes by suppliers and checking their references, our Strata Council chose DrainScope to inspect our perimeter drainage system to identify problems, and improvements. Our complex was entering its 19th year and had never had the drainage system inspected. DrainScope's quote for the job was the most professionalbut not the most or least expensiveand their references were superlative.... Their performance exceeded our expectations. Following the initial inspection, the DrainScope team, along with the essential heavy equipment, was booked for four days on site. All interactions by their personnel were very professional before, during and after the on-site work. Their personable team members took time to explain to curious owners what they were doing all along the way. When hidden issues were discovered (faulty original installation), DrainScope workers explained their alterations and why these were necessary. The team was very careful to protect our buildings and grounds throughout the processlaying down protective surfacing wherever equipment would be travelling on lawns, and keeping equipment/tools on plywood. They even washed down the laneways and roadways during their final cleanup. As a result of their efficiency, the team was able to go beyond what had been originally planned for the scheduled time, adding additional clean-outs and traps that had been planned for later, but which will make subsequent monitoring and maintenance of the drainage system much easier. DrainScope documents its work very assiduously with text, maps, and before-and-after photos. Minor issues that became apparent since project completion have been few and were addressed to our full satisfaction in a most timely manner by DrainScope personnel. As a result of our experience, our Strata is committing to an ongoing involvement with DrainScope and recommends them highly for these services. President, Strata Plan VIS **** Victoria BC V8N 3L3 Thank you for sharing and taking the time to communicate the Strata's experience with the DRAINSCOPE Team!
