A common concern for both men and women is "brown spots". These can have numerous causes- from sun spots (solar lentigines), to melasma, to little common benign growths called seborrheic keratoses. As the causes are many, so are the treatments- this is why a customized plan is so important. This patient was bothered by "brown spots". Cause: seborrheic keratoses. After discussion of treatment options, he elected to treat with electrodessication and curettage. This proced...ure reliably removes the spots, and takes about 7-10 days for the treated areas to heal. As you see in the slider, they resolved with no residual pigmentation or scars.
