Here’s a little sneak peek on what you can expect from Kaedin for our upcoming Virtual productions! Whether it be portraying Lady Gaga in one group, or the Webbed Wonder (aka Spiderman) in another group, he always manages to shine!

DOUBLE FEATURE DAY CONTINUES! Kaedin is one of those performers who was made for the big screen! It’s hard to believe Kaedin only started with us this summer! We’ve had the pleasure watching him in action and we all agree it feels as though he’s been performing since the day he was born. Kaedin is one of the hardest working performers we have had the honour of coaching in over 20 years. He takes direction extremely well and is always eager to try anything we throw his... way. A true professional, Kaedin arrives to every virtual class decked out in full costume and makeup, stage lighting shining bright and his green screen set and ready to go! He even worked with his Mom to develop his own choreography for his Lady Gaga Character! Here is what Kaedin wishes to express about his experience at DramaWay: What I love most about DramaWay is that I get to act! Right now, I’m performing in 2 shows where I play the characters of Lady Gaga and the Webbed Wonder. At DramaWay, I get to meet new friends and I have loads of fun while we work with some of the best acting coaches around - Danielle Strnad and her amazing team! Three things that I have learned at DramaWay are: acting, stage presence & filming and how to use my voice to enrich my lines. What is so unique about DramaWay is that someone like me, with autism, is accepted for my different abilities and gives me a safe place where I can thrive and start living my dreams. For our Spring Virtual Showcase, Rebecca submitted a beautiful video of herself and her dog, Ziggy. She explained how she takes care of him, and what he means to her. Here is a short clip from that video.

DOUBLE FEATURE DAY We have another Double Feature day for you! It is such a joy to Spotlight our talented performers! Our first Spotlight today is on Rebecca, dancer, vocalist and actress extraordinaire! Rebecca infuses her trademark energy, enthusiasm and humour into all her encounters. We are so lucky to have her as a long-standing member of our DramaWay family. As a performer, Rebecca has gained a wealth of stage experience over the years. Whether it’s performing ...with her vocal group, or portraying her many roles in her theatre group; despite her busy weekly schedule, Rebecca remains committed and she adores her DramaWay family! Rebecca can always be relied upon to get the job done! She is driven to be of service in many capacities, and in this way is a great helper with tasks large and small both inside and outside of her DramaWay programs. Rebecca also has a very active social life. She is a devoted friend to many, including her co-adventurer Lara, with whom she enjoys taking on the town and planning fun activities. Rebecca is a very responsible contributing member of her household. This includes taking her beloved dog Ziggy on regular walks and making sure he is well snuggled and fed (as you can see in the video). Elias shares how DramaWay helped him get a job with puppeteering while appearing on the show, Employable Me. Also featured is one of Elias’ iconic roles as Willam Grimm in our adapted production of Cinderella called, Break Free.

DOUBLE FEATURE DAY CONTINUES Our second Spotlight of the day, features our good friend, Elias. Elias has been attending DramaWay since we first began back in 1999. He had been attending faithfully since Day 1 and it shows. Elias never backs away from any acting challenge. In fact, he loves to push himself often portraying some of the most outlandish characters we offer including roles such as one of the Nymphs in Snow White’s Ever After and Doctor Arrggh in our upcom...ing Virtual production, I’m Super and You Know It! Elias has the ability to improvise no matter what role is given to him. Many actors resist when you tell them to go big! But Elias always loves taking it to the next level. He is also skilled at Puppeteering as well as Script writing. His life dream is to have his own TV show where he portrays a wide range of his favourite fairy tale characters. Not only is he an incredible stage actor and entertaining writer, he is also a very talented visual artist! He loves drawing his favourite cartoon characters and always keeps everyone laughing by showcasing his ability to incorporate accents and different voices while portraying his many roles. Elias says, DramaWay inspires me to go for my dreams. The things I have learned while Acting here, is that you can be ok with yourself and who you are. DramaWay also gave me the chance to be on the TV series Employable Me which landed me a Puppeteering job with a professional Puppeteer.
