Happy Grinch Day!!
WRSD has had a number of COVID cases within our schools and also students being affected from outside close contacts. This can be a worrisome thing for parents ...and families and creates many questions. Many of these questions are answered at https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/topics/Page17221.aspx. These include what steps you can take in your home, what does this mean for other family members in your household and whether a negative test means you can leave quarantine. See more

Alberta Health Services has made an adjustment to the daily COVID-19 checklist for students. Students are no longer required to isolate for 10 days if they have... the symptoms of "runny nose" or "sore throat". They are still required to stay home if they have these symptoms, but they can return to school once the symptoms are gone. Students are still required to isolate for the full 10 days if they have any one of the following: fever, cough, shortness of breath or loss of smell or taste. Please remember that staying home when sick is still one of the most effective measures we can take to stop the spread of COVID-19. See the following for a copy of the new checklist: https://open.alberta.ca//covid-19-information-alberta-heal See more
