Yoga has been part of my life for years now and will continue on throughout. Especially after seeing this!
6 months training and its official, I am an IRONMAN! Was an epic day that I thankfully got to share with my family. It took longer than expected, had some problem solving to do at times but managed to push through and reach that goal 140.6 miles away. Definitely still on a high from the day and I have to say that the body feels quite good. Thanks for all the support and tips I got from everyone along the way! Many benefits of turmeric, check it out. Just had a talk with a nutritionist and they said it is important to have black pepper with turmeric due to its ability to increase absorption substantially!

It is official, finished my first ironman 70.3! Early day started around 4 am and then in the water by 6. Swim was actually quite relaxing, turned out to be a wave start which prevented a lot of mayhem:). Bike was full of rolling hills with some beautiful views of the ocean. Run was shaded, on a flat trail which proofed to be the true test. Got a little behind in my nutrition which I payed the price for on the second 10k loop. Some lessons have to be learned the hard way, but as a result I will never forget. All and all a truly epic day. Perhaps inspiring another...or maybe a full Cheers!
It has been 12 weeks and now I am finally on the eve of my first triathlon. Feeling good after all the training and excited to get in the water tomorrow am. Ironman 70.3 here I come!! Post race story to come..
First swim at the lake and came to the conclusion it is still a little early brrrr
