We are excited to have a giving tree in the office this year. We have ornaments hand made by the Girl Guides to purchase, benefiting the Brantford Blessing Centre, as well as pottery ornaments from Don Zver in support of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program. Lots of ways to give this Christmas. Enter a draw for local goodies to win something for yourself !

This cutie asked for a mask for his sting ray too
Dr.Julia Baltais was blessed with a beautiful baby earlier this spring and is taking some time home with him. We are so happy for her and her family . On Tuesdays we now welcome to our practice Dr.Sayer. Dr. Graehem Sayer was born and raised in New Liskeard, a small town in Northern Ontario. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Waterloo and went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree with honours from The New England... College of Optometry in Boston, MA. His optometry training included several clinical rotations through private practice, community health and hospital settings where he gained broad experience in ocular disease management and comprehensive eye care. Dr. Sayer is passionate about treating patients with glaucoma and continues to stay up to date with the latest glaucoma research. Dr. Sayer also has a special interest in the management of dry eye disease and offers the latest treatment options to his patients. Dr. Sayer is certified to prescribe topical and oral therapeutic agents for ocular conditions. When Graehem is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife Aynsley, travelling, and staying active with sports like golf, curling, and volleyball. See more

Some more beautiful art to view or purchase in our clinic waiting room! Oil on canvas, framed. We love to support our local artists.
Cloth masks available!
These two cuties are waiting patiently for their eye exam and watching some Disney plus. We put away all our toys and books for now to help keep things sanitary. If anyone has a lead on pediatric disposable masks let me know - I only have adult sized right now for the clinic .
My daughter and I have been enjoying Dr.Pol veterinarian on Disney Plus so I knew what this was! I laughed out loud when I came to work this morning to find these glasses in a vet rectal sleeve. Only in a rural small town will you see this. We our village so much !!
Update on the optiplus wipes - they work! I rubbed only my right lens and the pic shows how my left one is fogged and my right one is clear. They last about 3 hours so enough for a shopping trip out. A shift wearing glasses would require 2-3 wipes but they arent too costly ( about a quarter each I believe ). Let me know if you are interested in these wipes they come in boxes of 30,60 or 100. Unfortunately backorded till end of June. I will place an order this week
Absolutely thrilled to showcase the incredible talent of St.George artist Sandra Lewis Henry. Her work is being displayed in the office for sale/ gallery display in the clinic. Come check out the vivid colors and beautiful technique she uses. One is of Killarney and the second one is right here in St George .
We so appreciate your support of our small town business. Our community is incredible!
We will begin rescheduling appointments today - we will start with the patients from the last 2 months who had appointments booked and will reschedule them first, as well as fitting in any emergencies. If you have a mask of your own, please wear it to your appointment. We will provide one for you if you do not have your own. Thank you for your patience as we sort this all out. So good to be back!
First day back ! My lenses instantly fog when I put on a mask so I am trying some new anti fog wipes today - Ill let you know how they work !
We can open again! Be patient with us as we try to work through the backlog of patients in a safe way. We are putting many precautions in place for your safety - we have masks, gloves, new sanitizing procedures and we are here to make your visit as comfortable as possible for you. Please phone with any special concerns you have or health issues that we should be aware of. It will take us longer to do our normal routines but we are going to do our best to get you all seeing your best as soon as possible!
Worth a try! Foggy glasses while wearing a mask is such a nuisance .
